Procedure for consulting the registry
To consult a class action file in the registry, you can launch a search using one or more criteria, such as
- a key word;
- a file number;
- a courthouse;
- a subject;
- a date of filing.
This will give you access to a range of information on the class action that interests you, including the names of the parties, a description of the class and any sub-class, the titles of the documents filed, the names of the lawyers and the names of the law firms involved. You can sort the results of the search to match your needs.
To consult an application, you can click the names of the parties on the left-hand side of the results, to open the Overview of the application. You can then consult all the documents filed and also locate supplementary information about the class action.
All consultations are free of charge.

If you want to obtain more information on a class action, you can consult the website of your representative's law firm or contact the lawyer responsible for the file. The relevant contact information is found in the "Counsel for the defence" section of the Overview of the application.
